I saw a cartoon yesterday that read, “I wasted my entire Sunday dreading Monday.” Do you ever feel that way? Or do you feel the exact opposite? As Sunday rolls around, do you begin to anxiously anticipate Monday finally arriving so you can get cracking?
This cartoon, although very funny, has a heck of a lot of truth attached to it. How many people do you think dread Mondays? I’m guessing too many. If you dread Mondays, how long have you dreaded them and how long are you going to continue to dread them?
If you feel this way, then Sunday is definitely sending you a message. It means about 50 weeks out of the 52, dread is the driving force. What is the message? Is this the wrong job? The wrong boss? The wrong department? The wrong field? The wrong company? Something is out of alignment with the genuine, authentic, true you. “Anxiously anticipating Monday finally arriving so you can get cracking” is available to you, too. Sunday is trying to do you a favor. Maybe it is time to listen.
