Do you know what this coming Saturday is? Apparently, January 19th, 2019 has been dubbed National Ditch Day—the day we can or will ditch our New Year’s Resolutions! Are you kidding me? That is not even 3 weeks!
Do you know why most people ditch their resolutions? It’s because they aren’t convenient, they aren’t producing results fast enough, and they’re difficult. Yup, that sounds about right! That’s what a resolution is – something you haven’t accomplished before for good reason! It’s going to be a challenge or you would have succeeded by now.
I’m reaching out to you well before “Ditch Day” to tell you – YOU’RE TOUGHER THAN THAT! You aren’t quitting and neither am I. I’m not as concerned about your goal as I am in you. Sticking with the goal – regardless of success – develops fortitude, perseverance, and strength. Quitting develops absolutely nothing! So say it, “I WILL NOT QUIT!”
PS My healthy eating goal so far has been an epic failure. I’m not quitting; I’m beginning again today. On the bright side, my workout regimen has improved! There is tremendous power in small wins.
