“It’s not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It’s because we dare not venture that they are difficult.”  ~ Seneca

What is difficult in your life right now? What would you like to change? Do you have this thing pictured in your mind? OK, now ask yourself, “If I was truly brave and daring, what would I venture to do right now so I could change this thing?

What Seneca was trying to ask, in simpler terms, is this: are we afraid to do this because it’s hard or is it hard because we are afraid. A conundrum, for sure, but I only see one way out and that is by taking one brave step. This is simply an in or out question. If you want to remain in this quagmire you can, but if you want out, you are going to have to dare to venture.

Here’s what we all need to know—when we are a little bit brave and daring, we accomplish things. With accomplishment comes a boost in self-esteem and self-confidence which feeds the next brave and daring choice. It’s an in or out question: Do you want to remain in this situation or do you want to get out, move on, rise above? In is passive, static, and stuck; Out is active, dynamic, and powerful. Your choice. In or out
