Friday’s Quote

“I know you are tired. I know you are physically and emotionally drained. But you have to keep going.”
~ Unknown.

Do you know how a pandemic ends? A pandemic typically has two endings: a medical ending and a social ending. The medical ending occurs when the incidences subside dramatically. The social ending occurs when the frustration and exhaustion about the prolonged restrictions reach such a point that the people are no longer afraid and resume their normal lives. Perhaps, like me, you are feeling as though you have reached your limit? Maybe you, too, are saying, “I’m not sure how much more of this I can take?”

I’m at that point now and it’s not where I want to be. I’m not going to do anything reckless like host a party but I do feel like my tank is decidedly empty, and there is no gas station in sight. How do we keep going when we are exhausted, frustrated, and drained? I have already run, walked, biked, baked, played games, redecorated, weeded, chopped trees, etc.

I believe, for me, it’s time to reinvent my life here in quarantine. This same old same old is not working for me anymore . Although I haven’t landed on my new project yet, I’m going to give it some serious thought today. I need to fill my tank so I can do more than survive this time in lock down. If you’re feeling stuck or stalled as well, comment below. We can be accountability partners as we search for that thing. Let’s get creative. Let’s light a fire within. We can do this, we owe it to ourselves! Let’s GO!

Be well, be safe, stay healthy,
Beth
PS I am reminded of another quote: “Sleep doesn’t help if it’s your soul that’s tired.”
