Would you like to be happier? What about more likable? And would you like to be healthier, live longer, have a better marriage, and be perceived as more competent? Sure you would, right? Me, too! Well, it might be simpler than you think.
Various studies have proven that all of those things can be accomplished quite simply with a SMILE. Smiling triggers the brain’s happiness circuitry and a cascade of positive things begin to happen for the person who is smiling the most! And there is no better day to begin smiling more than on a Friday, right?
So if you are jumping on a Zoom call today, think about smiling. If you are with family or friends, definitely make sure you’re smiling. And if you’re out and about and your smile is covered with a mask, consider telling someone, “I want you to know, I’m smiling under this mask!” Maybe it’s important that they know, although I hope your eyes have given it away!
