Motivational Monday!

Before things start to heat up with this shortened holiday season, I want us to think about what this time really means to you and I? You may already be caught up in decorating, shopping, wrapping, partying, etc., but with 19 days until Christmas and 25 days until year-end, what do you want this season to be for you? The hustle and bustle will win if we don’t define these last few weeks of 2021 in our own terms.

For me, this year will be centered around love. Every year should be about love, but I get caught up in the wrong things. I get caught up in perfection, appearances, judgement, and keeping up with the Joneses (Oh, how I hate my fixation on the Joneses)! All of this leaves me exhausted, depleted, and feeling “not good enough.” Could I get farther away from love? Creating a merry Christmas should not be at the cost of me (or you).

So today I am asking myself how I want to be and feel this Christmas season. I know I want to be calm, centered and at ease. I also want to be joyful, happy, and grateful. Every day leading up to 12/25 and 12/31, I will ask myself, “How can I add more love to myself and those around me?” I don’t want to be stressed and harried. Love is my focus and I am sticking to it for both work and home. I’m singing the words, “Good tidings of comfort and joy,” and, “Let your heart be light—From now on your troubles will be out of sight,” now I just have to live them. Are you with me? LOVE!

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
