Have you ever thought about the two words “discover” versus “create” as they relate to you and me? Have you ever thought about who you want to be at home or at work? Are you allowing yourself to simply discover what unfolds as you go through life’s experiences, or are you actively engaged in creating the person you want to become?
Discover versus create. At first glance, there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with discovering how we choose to lead or parent or simply grow, but it’s a reactive approach. Creating, on the other hand, is proactive, it’s intentional, and it’s thought-filled.

If we want to be the best version of ourselves, we need to begin creating that person and stop discovering her. Remember, we want to be proactive, intentional, and thought-filled.
