Memorabilia Madness

You may be sick of my packing stories, but please note that I am definitely sick of packing! So let’s do one more, for OTS (Old Time’s Sake).

Clare and I were packing like it was our job yesterday—wait, it is our job, LOL. It was mainly “memorabilia day!” O M G, not a good day! There is too much memorabilia here with 6 people in the house. If we see another picture or keepsake we are going to scream. But going through all this stuff, not only the things I saved for my kids, but that which was saved for me by my mom, I realized that most of it is trash. Don’t wince, I’m sorry, but it’s true. It stays tucked away in boxes forever, until you move and have to go through it.

For sure, there are a few things we all should keep, but honestly we don’t need most of it. The trip down memory lane was a reminder of what happened. The past was fun, so is the present, but do you know what we don’t have? We don’t have a box filled with our vision of the future. We hoard all of the boxes to remember the past, but we put little effort into envisioning the future! So today, give it some thought. After rummaging though the past yesterday, I assure you that a small little folder that envisions your future, would be time well spent!

Let’s GO!! WE GOT THIS!
