Friday’s Quote

“The only person you are destined to become, is the person you decide to be.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Emerson said it very sussinctly in those 15 words, now it’s up to us. We just read his words and hopefully we absorbed their inspirational meaning. I know who I am currently, and I am sure you know who you are, but who do we want to become? That’s the question we need to ask ourselves.

“Who do I want to become?” Asking ourselves that question is step #1, and most people won’t even do that. Step #2 is answering that question. Who do we really want to become, because we are all destined to become nothing more than who we decide to be. And all of this is for naught if we simply sit in our own complacency—complacency is the kiss of death.

Emerson spelled it out. It’s simple but not easy. Most of us will be complacent with who we are right now, but there will be a few driven and determined people who will do the work and thoughtfully ask, “Who do I want to become?” And then they will go make it happen. Emerson would be very pleased.

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
