A Great Message from Lowes

One week from today my kitchen will begin a much-needed renovation. The next few days are dedicated to emptying out all of our cabinets. We borrowed some boxes from Doug’s sister to begin this cathartic task. The boxes are from Lowe’s Home Improvement and they are imprinted with the logo “Lowes – Never Stop Improving.” If you own a home, you know how important improvements are to maintaining or even increasing your home’s value. It’s critical.

If you walked into my kitchen today you’d quickly understand the need for the improvement. Your eyes might be drawn to my white range—that has needed nothing but a lightbulb in 22 years— so thank you GE—or the very dated countertops. Regardless of their continuing functionality, it’s time to renovate, improve, and update so that we increase the value of our home.

Increasing the value of our home is great but what about increasing the value of ourselves? Shouldn’t our battle cry be the same as Lowe’s Home Improvement – Never Stop Improving! Here’s the truth about my kitchen, it’s value will always be based on how current it is. And whether it be our career, our health, or something else, the same is true for us. Is it time for a “home” improvement?

Never Stop Improving,
Beth
