Belly Laughing and YOU

“Isolation is hard. I now realize why dogs get so excited about walks, car rides, or something moving outside. I think I just barked at a squirrel!” That’s funny.

“9th day of isolation and it’s like Vegas in my house. We’re losing money by the minute, cocktails are acceptable at any hour, and nobody knows what time it is!” Really funny!

“Your quarantine alcoholic name is your first name followed by your last name.” Hilarious! (If you are on Facebook, you get this)

I totally get the gravity of this situation but if we don’t have a sense of humor, I’m not quite sure how we are going to get through this. It has been proven that laughter is good for our health. It reduces anxiety and other negative emotions. It boosts our immune system. It acts as a natural anti-depressant. It helps us breathe better. It improves our cardiovascular health. It calms stress hormones. It can help alleviate pain. AND, it burns calories!!! Hello! If there ever was a panacea, I believe this may be it!

So let’s help each other out here. What are you doing to make sure you’re belly laughing each day? I want to know. What are you watching? I have to thank Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock in their movie The Heat for making me laughed so hard I wheezed! Please post in the comments below! Come on, we got this!

With Gratitude,
Beth
