Friday Quote

“Your diamonds are not in far of distant mountains or in yonder seas; they are in your own backyard if you but dig for them.” Russell H. Conwell

Conwell was a minister and founder of Temple University. His famous speech, Acres of Diamonds, was presented more than 6,000 times to an untold number of people. His story was that of a man who sells his farm to travel far and wide in search of diamonds only to find they had been in his backyard all the while.

What “riches” are you looking for? Riches often come disguised as happiness, financial security, love, safety, health, success, etc. How would things change for you and me if some wise sage whispered in our ear: Search no further; the diamonds are right in your own backyard.”

If you are thinking “The “diamonds” can’t be right here or I would have found them by now.” Think again. Diamonds are found deep beneath the earth’s surface and need to be excavated. We are going to have to dig to find our diamonds. They are right here! I promise you that, but we have to dig deep. We got this!

Happy Friday,
Beth
