Motivational Monday

Have you ever heard of The Law of Diminishing Intent? It states that the longer you wait to do something, the greater the odds are that you will never actually do it. It’s a law. A law is a statement of fact (deduced from observation) that a particular phenomenon always occurs if certain conditions are present.

Have you ever been impacted by this law? I most definitely have! Think of all the things you have pushed off for “later.” I put “later” in quotes because, for me, I never really had a “later” date in mind. Fear kept me from doing it now, but there was no “later” date planned. Procrastination is not only guaranteeing that you will fail, but it is also supporting a self-defeating behavior—the “I can’t” thought.

Tonight, I begin teaching 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John Maxwell. If you haven’t signed up, there is still room. Jim Rohn said, “You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction.” Do you need to change your direction? Perhaps it is The Law of Diminishing Intent that is holding you back. Remember, the longer you wait, the odds are you will never actually do it.

With Gratitude,
Beth
