Peace on Earth…

We all have heard, “Peace on earth, good will toward men.” Maybe you heard it in a Christmas carol, or you remember it from A Charlie Brown Christmas, or you actually know it from its source, the gospel of Luke in the Bible. However you became familiar with those words, they are definitely familiar to you, right?

Today, regardless of your faith, I would love if we all gave that sentence some thought. We have all lumbered through this very difficult year—and it’s not over yet. For some, it has been more difficult than for others. Some people lost loved ones. Some people lost their jobs. Some people don’t have the most ideal living conditions. Some people are alone. Some people are suffering mentally through this challenging time. Some people are very scared. And more.

If, in years passed, you glossed over, “Peace on earth, good will toward men,” maybe we can change that today. If you, like I, thought, “Peace on earth, good will toward men,” was going to be bestowed upon us by some higher power, then I think we were wrong. The only way “peace on earth, good will toward men” happens is with and through us. And it doesn’t and can’t just be a “Christmas thing.” Not now. Will you agree to be a harbinger of peace and good will? Me, too. We need it now more than ever.

With Gratitude,

Beth
