Motivational Monday!

I watched the Golden Globes award show last night, did you? I’m not really an awards show kind of gal, but it was on while I was doing other things around the apartment so it helped passed the time. Also, I love movies and had seen a few of the top picks, so I was using it more as a guide to what I want to see next.

As I watched, I couldn’t help but think about how challenging the movie industry must be on your mental health, your confidence and your self-esteem. Last night, the Golden Globes was a room full of people who are beautiful, rich, and talented—and there is an annual event where they announce to the world who is the VERY best for that year. No pressure there. You have that at your work, right?

But their world is actually very similar to ours, surprisingly. We compare ourselves to others daily, even if the comparison isn’t with the likes of Jennifer Aniston. What if growing our self-esteem and our self-confidence was our 2024 resolution? This goes back to our, “I am” statements. What would happen if we repeated, “I am confident,” every day for 2024—or just the next 30 days? What if we made other statements like, “Good things are on their way to me,” or “My success is inevitable.” We are on our own divinely perfect journey and we need to release our unhealthy need to compare ourselves to others. As far as resolutions go, this one is rather simple and it takes less than 5 seconds a day. Plus, you can do it in your pajamas! Win-Win!

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
