Motivational Monday

Motivational Monday!I spent the last 5 days relaxing and having so much fun with our dear friends in Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Getting away, especially with friends, is good for the mind and the body. We laughed until we cried, we made so many memories, we explored areas we’d never seen before, and we took the time to rest our bodies and our souls.

Yesterday, we had to leave our lovely respite, so we made our way to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and boarded a plane for Newark, NJ. During the flight, probably at about 30,000 feet, I started to think about how incomprehensible flying actually is. I wondered how heavy the plane actually was—the answer is a plane is about 90,000 lbs, the fuel is about 40,000 lbs, and the passengers, cargo, and crew are about 45,000 lbs.! That equates to 175,000 lbs. flying through the air at 30,000 feet! So now you understand how incomprehensible this is to imagine, although perhaps not my best thought mid-flight.

Take a moment to think about what part of your journey you think can’t happen—it’s just like trying to imagine 175,000 lbs. flying through the air! You and I have told ourselves it’s impossible, but is it impossible or did we give up before we even started? If we believe, like the Wright brothers believed, perhaps we can make the impossible possible. Whatever your wish is, I doubt it is as inconceivable as making 175,000 lbs. fly through the air, right?

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
