Motivational Monday!

I spent the last three days at an in-depth Master Energy Practitioner Refresher Course taught by the exceptional Dr. Terry Lynch. The best decision I ever made, with the help and encouragement from Lynch, was to introduce energy work into my coaching practice many years ago. It’s been a real game-changer. And this weekend was more of the same, as this work never ceases to blow my mind.

One of the many things I discovered this weekend was how much we all want to be loved and accepted. I hesitate to use the word, “loved,” but I believe it’s the right word. We will certainly accept anything at or near love, like acceptance, valued, appreciated, but love is, without a doubt, the pinnacle. And this desire is as important at home as it is at work—and you’re misleading yourself if you don’t believe so for yourself and others.

If you’re a leader, and we ALL are in some way, look at your team/family. Do they feel loved? Do they feel included? How about appreciated, valued, and accepted? Most leaders will say, “Yes, absolutely” but most employees feel uncertain, at best. Hmm. A conundrum, for sure. So leaders, here is some advice after spending 3 full days, 24 hours, in the classroom dissecting all of this experientially: Your team doesn’t know they are loved, you can never tell them too much, and everyone loves to hear that they are not only loved, but valued, appreciated, and accepted. And for all of you that are looking for high performance teams—start here! You can’t go wrong.

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
