Cancel The Pity Party

Before I start my post each day on Facebook, there’s a prompt waiting for me that asks, “What’s on your mind?” The prompt is leading me to what I want to share, but it made me think of what is on our minds and our hearts daily—like what’s bother us, what’s weighing heavy, what challenges lie ahead, etc. The mind is rarely without something “on it,” right?

The battle for our minds and our hearts is real and an ongoing struggle. It starts with the mind, but that seems like a direct gateway to the heart. It happens consciously as well as subconsciously. Have you found yourself saying, “It seems like there’s always something.” You’re probably thinking of something right now that’s weighing heavy on your mind, right? Me, too. So what’s the answer?

I believe the answer lies in taking charge. We allow these “things” to take control of us and we become the victim of whatever we want to call it—bad luck, bad timing, unfortunate events, etc, and we start our very own pity party. It’s human nature. I’ve had my fair share of pity parties and maybe you’ve even attend a few? Today, we are taking charge—no victim! What’s our next move? What’s our best move? This can either happen to us or for us, and if it happens for us, then we can become empowered to take charge and make the changes we need for our own benefit. Would you like to take charge? I thought so!

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
