Friday’s Quote

“If you don’t have time for things that matter, then stop doing the things that don’t.”
~ Courtney Carver (Founder of Be More With Less)

It’s been quite a week or two here at the Fitzgerald household, and not one that I would like to repeat anytime soon. We had a few health scares, and they’re never fun, but they have an uncanny way of getting us laser focused on what’s important.

If you’re like me, you can get caught up in work. I’m “certain” I have my priorities in order UNTIL I realize that I’m saying things like, “Not now,” or “Maybe later,” or “I’ll catch you next time.” Arghhh! Life is too short. And I know what you’re thinking, “But you don’t understand, my work is demanding, I have to work these hours…”. Maybe. It’s your life, and only you get to make those decisions.

So, for me, it’s time to “Examine my life,” as Socrates said and simplify. I know your family is as important to you as mine is to me, but have we made time for them? Extra time? Special time? It’s like when you see a sign on a store that says, “Closed for inventory,” they need to assess what’s here and what needs to go. Same for us. What friends have you overlooked with a “Maybe later,” thought. Look, no one likes heath scares, but boy oh boy are they an eye-opener!

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
