“Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.” ~ Alan Lakein, the author of How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life.

We are headed into Labor Day weekend. The summer is essentially behind us now and the 4th quarter is beautifully positioned in front of us—awaiting our next move. What will you choose to do with it?

If you’re not sure what our choices are with this 3+ month time period, let me share a few. We could continue to get caught up in our day-to-day grind, allowing the days (and weeks and finally months) to run us and not the other way around. Or we could decide right now what we want the next 3+ months to look like. We can decide what’s important, what we want to happen for us, before the grind takes over and we are doing everything for everybody else and not us.

With Labor Day upon us, have you thought about planning your future so that it actually happens intentionally and not accidentally? Have you thought about “laboring” for yourself? Have you actually asked yourself, “What do I want?” If your work is getting all of you and there’s nothing left for you, something has gone askew—and the only one who can fix that is you. Give the future some thought today. What do you want to be real by December? You need to know what that is right now!

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
