Trapped

I was reading a post in a group I am in on Facebook. The woman, who now owns her own successful social media agency, told her story of how she got to where she is today. She explained how she had been a freelance social media manager and was feeling overwhelmed with all the work that she couldn’t keep up with. And then, she became pregnant—can you feel the “overwhelm” getting even bigger?

As she tried to imagine how she was going to take time off once the baby was born, she started to feel trapped within the freelance model she had chosen. “Trapped” is the word she used and it’s a GREAT word. Have you ever felt trapped? Have you ever seen an animal once they get trapped? An animal will start to pace and panic to find a way to get out of their situation, right?

I sometimes wish we were all more like animals. Not all people will fight to get out of a trapped employment situation like this woman did. Some people will simply roll over and accept being trapped. I hope her story inspires you to fight. Find your way out, don’t accept being trapped. And BTW, she’s killing it owning her own agency and being a mom (of 2 now) check her out at https://thesocialgirl.agency
