Comfy and Cozy—That’s The Plan

The New Year is 11 days away. I kind of wish it wasn’t as close as it is but, unfortunately, there’s no stopping it. Have you given any thought to what you want in 2024? I’m sure you’ve had a few thoughts, like I have, that start something like this, “In the new year, I’m going to…”. I don’t expect you to have thought about it in detail—at least not yet.

Today is the day to simply pick the day that you are going to have that full conversation with yourself. What day will you set aside a few hours (yes, hours) that you can dedicate to what you want to happen in 2024? This day shouldn’t be one that you dread, not at all. This is the day of self-pampering. You get your best warm drink, your comfiest clothes, your favorite pen and paper, and your favorite chair and that is where you hunker down to dream (and write) about what 2024 will look like for a handful of specific topics. Nothing is off limits here.

Today we are simply picking the day. If you work best in the mornings, then it should be an early morning rendezvous with yourself. Put it on your calendar today so you don’t miss this very important date with yourself. You’re going to decide on things like career, lifestyle, relationships, personal growth, family, spiritual, finances, and any other thing you deem important. But today, just set the date and time aside so you can commit to you and what you want in 2024. And if you read this and think, “I’m not doing that,” then ask yourself, “Why have I decided that devoting time to myself and my success is not important?”
