“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Some of our family is a part of a “walking group.” Essentially, everyone’s goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day, which can come easy OR it can be very hard, depending on what one’s day looks like. It all gets recorded on the Stridekick app. When the new year rolled around, I declared to myself, “I’m going to walk 10,000 steps, every day, for a whole year.” It’s not the 10,000 steps that’s the bigger challenge, its the 365 days.

Because I have a goal each day, it’s pushing me to get it done. And the earlier the better, I have come to find out, as I have paced the halls of hotels, circled the inner hallways of my apartment building, or looped my own small apartment to get to the coveted 10,000. Without the goal, what would I have done? “Sat down and watched television” is the answer.

“The tasks and the way to do them are really simple. The real question is whether you are willing to do them or not.” ~Unkown

It’s February 2nd, so it’s highly likely some of our resolutions have fallen by the wayside—but I’m never going to be the one who judges that. January 1 is not the only day we can make a new plan! “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will.” Let’s choose something JUST for the month of February, not the whole year. Let’s choose something so we can show our will how mentally strong we are! 28 days! It’s a leap year. We can do this! Pick one thing that means something to you, that will make you so incredibly happy and proud when the 28 days are over.

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
