Happy Vibes

Doug and I attended the Bruce Springsteen concert at The Prudential Center in Newark with our dear friends on Friday night. They had all seen him numerous times, but this was only my 2nd Bruce concert. Everyone agreed that this was his best concert simply because he seemed really happy and carefree. And at 73 years old, why not?

Yes, Bruce is 73! He looks amazing and he bounced across the stage for three straight hours like he was 23, without even a of hint of fatigue! But how did we all sense the feeling that he was so happy? There was almost a silliness to him Friday night that permeated the stage and the arena and we felt enwrapped in it.

Let’s take a minute to think about us and our job—are we happy? Are we giving off those kinds of vibes or are we feeling something else? If you could name the feeling you feel most when you’re at your job, what would it be? Would it be happy? Or would it be more like exhausted or stressed? I’m not trying to compare us to Bruce, and he didn’t give us “Happy,” vibes at previous concerts, to be clear. But if we aren’t feeling happy then I think we should take a minute to put our finger on exactly how we are feeling, simply so we know. Once we know, we can do something about it. Let’s take the minute and find out.

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!

P.S. I know he’s making a lot of money on this tour, but he also has to show up! The US Tour alone was 30 different cities in 75 days! And I’ll share a great picture of Bruce on stage once I get it from my friend!
